Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

After three months of treatment, Butch's hair has grown back and he's gained weight. This big guy now weighs in at 98 pounds. Butch's skin condition is being treated, and he may require medication to keep it under control. Although he's a large dog, Butch is gentle and sweet. He loves to play with his canine foster siblings and craves human interaction. Butch is looking for a loving family to call his own. He does great with other dogs and kids. His foster mom feels he'd do well with cats as well, as long as he is properly acclimated.
