Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Taz is a tall, athletic 3-year-old, dark-brindle male boxer. This handsome guy is neutered, heartworm negative and healthy. Taz is progressing well on both his house and basic obedience training. He is crate trained. Taz has long, cropped ears, and since his previous owners did not put in the effort to ensure they stood up, his left ear now often folds over, but it adds to his charm! He can be somewhat anxious when left alone or when meeting new people and dogs. However, when properly introduced, he gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with his canine foster brothers and sister. Taz has not been evaluated around cats, but he does seems a bit too "interested" in them. Further evaluation is needed. Taz is very affectionate and eager to please, and he loves to be around people. Taz will make a wonderful addition to a patient and loving home.
