Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Taz is a 9-month-old boxer puppy. He was rescued along with his sister; unfortunately, his sister didn't survive. Now, this sweetheart is undergoing treatment for demodectic mange (a hereditary condition that is NOT contagious to people or other dogs). His foster mom reports that he is very affectionate and loves playing with his canine foster sister. Though he's curious around the cats in his foster home, he's shown no aggression towards them. Taz is doing well on house and crate training. He's neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm preventive. This handsome boy will make a wonderful addition to a loving home.
