Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

Someone named me Coy, but I am anything but shy and modest! Which is interesting because I had a pretty tough experience being abandoned by my owners. When I was found and taken to a shelter, I was emaciated. But I am recovering and I have lots of energy now! Yay! I can be pretty rambunctious, so if you have another dog, it would be good if it were not a tiny little thing (I wouldn’t want to overwhelm it!). I am crate trained, love to eat, still learning the whole leash thing…plus, did you notice my coat? I am very handsome and very unusual for a boxer. Also – look at my cute underbite and snaggle teeth! All the more reason you must take me home with you!
