Hallo! That’s “hi” in German, and between my boxer and German shorthaired pointer genes, I am all German! My name is Baxter (OK, so that’s not so German), and I am four years old. I was originally rescued from a local shelter. I’m pretty sad because my owner is being transferred to the Middle East, and I am not allowed entry into the country. She’s pretty sad herself! I am a loving, fun, very athletic family dog that is good with kids and cats. (I basically just leave our cat alone!) I especially love to play with stuffed animals or rolled up old socks. I love to run around a yard or fenced area. I am most happy curled up on the floor next to you while you watch movies, sports, etc. Please scratch my back or stomach. I will be soooo happy! I also will make funny faces that you will find irresistible. I know several commands such as sit, down, lie down, shake. I have been making a lot of progress on "heel". Oh - I LOVE car rides! Almost as much as I love people of ALL ages! So… no excuses! I am adorable, I get along with every living thing, and I need a home. I will be a good fit anywhere, I promise. Please let my owner leave the country knowing I am in a good home. We’ll both be a lot less sad. Danke vielmals!
