Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

I'm Bridget with the bluish collar (sister of Faith), and we're both six years old. When we were just puppies we were adopted by two sisters who lived in the same house. But one of our moms died, and the other one had to move in with a granddaughter, so, sadly, we're each looking for a new home. I am house and crate trained, and very easy on the leash. I am really sweet, and I love people (of all ages!), but because I can be a little dominant, I really need to be the only dog in the house. I can be playful, but I'm pretty calm most of the time. When I come out of my kennel, I immediately grab a toy and walk around until someone notices me and gives me a little love! I also like to pick up my bowl and carry it around. (Hello? I'm hungry here!) When I need to go outside, I like to make eye contact and quietly "woof." I miss my "mom" and I miss Faith, but I just know I'm going to find the perfect home where I'll be happy ever after!
