Hi, My name is Beauregard, or Beau for short. It's a good southern name for a handsome southern gentleman like myself. I had been living in a shelter in
South Carolina since April of this year. My former owner tied me to the door of the shelter with a note saying they "just had too many animals". In late
September my time was just about up. I was getting really scared. Lucky for me, some nice volunteers sent out urgent email messages trying to find a way
to save me. No one locally came to my rescue, but fortunately Lone Star Boxer Rescue did, all the way from Houston, Texas. The volunteers arranged a transport for me from South Carolina to Houston.
I know how fortunate I am since LSBR has their hands full with local boxers to rescue!
The vet says I am a boxer mix. I am a young guy, only about a year old and quite the looker too. The lady
that is fostering me couldn't resist helping me when she saw my photo in the email and read my story.I am crate-trained and know how to sit on command.
I also like walking on a leash. Learning is easy for me especially when there is a treat involved. I do have lots of puppy energy and enjoy playing with toys and chewing bones. I get along with dogs and cats. I sometimes like to bark at cats, but I soon get bored
with the effort.
Although I am not a "pedigreed, full bred" boxer, I have that wonderful boxer heart in me, with lots and lots of love to give. Won't you consider adopting me? We will have so much fun!
