LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Blue, who is approximately 3 years old, was discovered one day running full speed through a neighbor's yard, with two little boys in tow yelling, "'Mister, please catch our dog!" After a lesson on keeping their dog on a leash, and a treat for Blue, they were on their way back home. The next time Blue showed up, the little boys were nowhere to be seen, and this time she stuck around. She was so sweet, and friendly, always trying to play with the family's dog. These nice neighbors started feeding her after she had been around for a few days, and then they tried everything they could think of to find Blue's family. No one knew where Blue's family had gone, but it was clear they weren't coming back. Blue wanted so badly to be home again, and one day she showed up dragging her dirty little food bowl behind her. Blue is heartworm positive. She is crate trained, rides well in a car and is working on her house training! This little girl would make a wonderful sister to some lucky dog, and will bring great joy to any family!
