Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi! My name is Crystal, and I’m so happy that I get to tell you my story. I'm a white boxer, and I think I'm about two years old – way too young to have already had several litters of puppies. Definitely not my choice! My previous owners were "backyard breeders" who tried to convince people that white boxers were “rare” and made them pay lots of money for our puppies. But, white boxers are not recognized by the American Boxer Club, because we do not meet their "color" standards. So, there is no need to fill out those registration papers; just throw them in the litter box where they belong. (Speaking of litter boxes, I do not like cats. I do like to chase them away, but that's about the extent of it!) Now, back to my story. The truth is, we are not rare. About 20- 25% of all boxer puppies are white or mainly white. And did you know that we aren't supposed to be bred? Breeding white boxers leads to litters with potentially deaf and/or blind puppies. Luckily for me, I'm not deaf or blind. I'm just like any other boxer in this world! I love to play, go for walks, and give kisses. I love playing with my foster brother and sisters. My favorite thing to do is run alongside my foster mom's kids while they ride their bikes. Those kids are FAST! It’s a struggle trying to keep up. The best news of all is that I am finally out of the “litter business,” and that makes me very happy! I do have a minor skin problem that we are working on correcting. My foster mom can tell you all about it. I love my crate, and I don't potty in the house, and that’s a good thing! So please remember my name - Crystal. I'm a sweet and pretty girl just looking for a family to love me. Please be my family!
