11/1 Update from Aliza’s foster family:
Aliza is doing great and has acclimated to our 12yr old son and all his energy as well as our male boxer who is about 8yrs old and has a lot of energy. Aliza is not very animated but does enjoy head & butt scratches, plus barking at the mailman to scare them off. Other than that she sleeps well in her crate at night and when we leave the house, she is good outside dog and in the house just chilling. Very healthy and very affectionate and not to clumsy considering she only has one eye, but she does bump into you or the wall occasionally.
Aliza here.....just sprung from the Harris County Animal Shelter! I’m approximately 6 years old, a beautiful fawn girl with the standard boxer look......cropped tail and ears!
They say I’m a petite girl, very well behaved, and I walk well on a leash. I’m super sweet with soulful brown eyes! I just landed in a foster home with another boxer and I'm thrilled to have a playmate!
Needless to say, I'm good with other dogs! My foster family is just getting to know me but already says that I love to give lots of kisses!

While I think she would be good with a family with kids and another dog that is not looking for a very excitable Boxer, we really think she would be a fantastic Boxer for an older couple, possibly a retired couple or individual. Mainly because she does like short walks and will go out side and play around a bit but does not need constant attention. She has been learning little commands and knows her name or a least what the sounds we have for different things.
