Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
My name is Bo Man. You can call me Bo for short. I like to think of myself as an optimist. although this past year has been very sad for me with the death of my wonderful owner, I am grateful for all the love he gave me and for my good fortune to be in foster care with Lone Star Boxer Rescue. I know my new "forever" home is soon to be found.
You'd probably like to know a little about me. I'm a big boy since I am a boxer/bull mastiff mix. Don't let my size scare you away. Underneath all this muscle is a little pup at heart that loves to play with toys, cuddle and go for walks.
I am crate and house-trained and good with children and other playful dogs. I am 4 1/2 years old, heartworm negative, and have my natural tail.
My previous owner took excellent care of me. He also taught me to sit and shake. I love showing off my knowledge and would love to learn more.
As my foster mom writes my story, I am laying at her feet enjoying a chew toy. I'm a playful guy but also have a calm, laid-back side. What can I say? I'm the best of both worlds. If you are looking for a committed relationship and are ready to grow your family, apply today.
