My name is Karl and I am all these things and more. I was abandoned at the shelter by my owners even though I was loyal to them for 11 years. In a moment, my secure world was shattered and I found myself lying on the cold concrete of a shelter wondering if my life would end there.
Thankfully, LSBR came to my rescue. They didn't discriminate against me because I'm older. They see the value in wise, gentle souls like me that still have lots of love and loyalty to give.
Did I mention that I love to play fetch and chew on squeaky toys? I also enjoy the company of other dogs and I adore those furry things called cats. Car rides are also fun.
My foster is a veterinarian and he performed an ultrasound on my heart and I received an A+. My heart looks great and no sign of those nasty heartworms. Age is just a number. I don't let it define me.
I can get a little anxious in the crate but I am house-trained so it is not a necessity. I am great on leash and know "wait, sit, down, kiss, hug, shake, come and stay". What more could you want in a loyal companion?
