Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
Tonto needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
IN NEED OF A FOSTER HOME UNTIL I CAN BE ADOPTED!
Do you remember the Lone Ranger and his friend, Tonto, as well as his loyal and brave horse, Silver? Well, when my brother, Silver, and I found ourselves alone on the streets we tried to be brave like those old western heroes. We are honored to be named after those folks. I guess we were brave surviving on the street, lost, cold and lonely. Thankfully, our guardian angel was watching out for us when we saw a kind lady walking her two boxers and what a coincidence? She was a former LSBR adopter.
We are under two years of age and even though we are a little thin, we weigh in the low 60's so we are big boys. We are both very sweet and like other dogs. I think I may like cats too. We are both heartworm negative too.
Silver and I were not given much attention in our puppyhood so all we need, in addition to a loving, forever home, is a little basic obedience. No one has taught us how to walk on a leash, sit or stay but I promise we will learn fast.
My brother and I love each other but we don't need to be fostered or adopted together. We just want each other to be happy and cared for. Make our New Year's wish come true by giving us a home and we will reward your family for years to come with our loyalty and love!
