Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Welcome to MY PAGE. I'm Indy and I'm in search of a very special "fur-ever" home. Stoli is my mom and she welcomed my siblings and me on Christmas Day! That makes me 11 weeks old...wow! All of my siblings have been adopted and now I'm ready to go too. From what I hear, their families have said things like "He's the happiest dog I've ever had!" and "She listens so well!" and "I couldn't have asked for anything more!" and "Everybody falls in love with him/her!" Sounds like we're pretty special, eh?

Well, I've gotten some extra attention since I am the only puppy in the home. My foster mom is a trainer and I am her "BEST STUDENT" so far! I surprise her every day!

Check it out:
--I LOVE my crate!
--SIT
--LEAVE IT
--TAKE IT
--DROP IT
--WATCH ME
--DOWN
--UP
--SHAKE LEFT, SHAKE RIGHT
--HIGH FIVE (right/left)
--SIT PRETTY
--ROLL OVER
--WAIT
--INSIDE
--OUTSIDE
--GO POTTY
--FETCH/BRING IT
--SIT FOR PETTING
--STAY

We're working on HEEL, PLACE, COME (I know this, but not quite strongly enough yet), QUICKLY RIGHT, SLOWLY LEFT, PARK IT, FIND IT, TOUCH, and whatever my mom comes up with!

I am getting my second round of vaccinations tomorrow so I will begin leash training and socialization with new people/animals/sounds, etc. I play very well with my foster family (cats and dogs) but I've never met anyone else. I can't wait!!! I'll be able to go to work with my foster mom and show off all my new skills.

I am looking for someone who is as excited as I am about learning new things. My goal is to become a therapy dog or an agility star one day! Do you think you can help me?

Fill out an application if you think you can keep up!
