Heya, I'm Zeke and I am about 1 1/2 yrs old. Even though I'm a young guy I've been through my fair share of tragedies. My previous owner left me and her boyfriend and never came back for me. He ended up dropping me off at a shelter all scared and alone with lots of health issues. I'm a little rough on the outside but really am a sweet boy inside, once you get to know me. My fears are very slowly easing now that I am starting to feel a little more stable and secure. I have made a few dog friends that I seem to play well with and I crate fine with a little treat persuasion :) . I do like to enjoy my meals in absolute peace (just me and my bowl), since I suffered from malnutrition when I was younger. I sometimes can get startled when touched while eating and may growl. It is just because I think my meal is leaving. Silly I know but I'm working on it PROMISE! I'm also learning some basic manners and learning where the proper potty area is. I'm doing all this so so maybe just maybe I can find a family who won't leave me. Some training and lots of TLC is what the Doc ordered for me. I would do best in a home with a more experienced dog owner and a home without small children. Please come help me overcome my fears.
