Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.
Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about her.
Coral is a very sweet-natured dog. When Coral is happy to see you, her tail stump circles non-stop, and she wags her whole back end as well. She blows air through her nose while nuzzling you and smacks her lips indicating she is happy to see you. If you take her outside, she wants to play chase with you and actually jumps like a deer when she is excited. Coral bonds very strongly with her caregiver and looks to that person for direction. She has learned a couple of commands, "sit" and "down," and seems eager to learn more. She is housetrained and crate trained. She likes to lay next to her caregiver whenever she can, but she will retreat to her crate if there is a lot of action in the house. Coral needs a home without cats and would prefer to be an only dog.
Thanks for any help you can give us with finding a home for Coral.
