Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Learn more about the Boxer.

My name is Kendall!  I'm a very sweet 2 year old fawn boxer girl with beautiful markings. It is believed that in my former life I was used primarily for breeding and wasn't socialized very well.  Now that I'm free of that life, I'm ready to live!

i found my way to LSBR and I'm now in a wonderful foster home where my foster mom is teaching me the wonders of being a loved family dog!  In my foster home, I'm learning good manners and basic commands.  I'm even learning how to live in a home with other dogs.  I must admit, at first I was a little guarded but just look at me now (view my pictures)......I'm enjoying the company of my boxer brother as well as my little mastiff sister!  I just need a proper introduction to other dogs!

At this point in my young life, I just want to be a typical dog that is loved and gets a lot of attention.  My foster mom says that I follow her every step when she is home!  I love to go for walks and I love all the attention I receive from the neighborhood kids on those walks but have learned that I would do best in a home with slightly older kids (approximately age 10+).   I've not been around cats so it is not known if I may coexist with a family cat.

You should also know that I'm fully house broken and crate trained but I must admit that I really don't love my crate!  If you are looking for a wonderful companion and somewhat of a shadow, I'm your sweet girl!
