Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Hi...my name is Trooper and I'm a beautiful brindle boxer mix boy about 4 years old.  I've been in a home but unfortunately the resident dog didn't like me being there and began to be aggressive towards me so my Mom & Dad, being worried for my safety, surrendered me to LSBR. 

I'm a very good boy...my Mom says that I'm very loyal and playful.  I LOVE playing catch and, given the opportunity, you will find me currled up at your feet!  I get along with other dogs and would be great in a home with older children.  Please though...no cats!

I'm house broken, fully vetted and ready to find a loving home that I can call my own!  I look forward to being your faithful companion and providing all the unconditional love you can ever imagine!
